PEKAO SA

The new retail branch concept of PEKAO SA seamlessly blends modernity with the bank’s timeless values. Characteristics such as local identity, Polish heritage, transparency and intergenerational connectivity are reflected in many elements of the design and furnishings.

Created by the Schwitzke Górski studio, the concept places a strong emphasis on utilizing natural materials such as plywood and recycled products, including acoustic PET panels and partially recycled carpeting.

Another principle of the new PEKAO SA bank branch concept was to support and promote Polish design. The Warsaw branch of the bank was equipped with Polish-made products and created by our native designers, such as the Noti Manta chairs conceived by Piotr Kuchcinski, the Gap armchair devised by Jerzy Porebski or the Nopp chairs developed by the BUCK STUDIO design collective.

Participating in the realization of the pilot branch for Pekao SA bank was an incredibly inspiring experience for us. The project encompassed the use of diverse materials, including natural plywood, metal, expanded and perforated metal meshes, laminates, reinforced glass, and acoustic PET panels upholstered with fabric. Collaborating closely with the design team and other subcontractors, we ensured a seamless transition of the designed furniture into production. Meticulously refining every detail and component was paramount. To achieve this, we prepared prototypes for certain cabinetry pieces in advance. The interiors are warmed by natural greenery and plaster panels, which were prepared using a cast with a composition of herbs and flowers.

We consider the whole realisation to be very successful, and we are pleased to have been able to participate in the process of creating this very captivating space.
